It is a high-efficiency heat exchanger tube with a TP304 stainless steel base pipe and 13Cr (SS410) stainless steel stud pins welded onto the outer surface. It is a specialized industrial component designed to maximize heat transfer efficiency in demanding, high-temperature environments. It combines a corrosion-resistant base tube with metal pins (studs) welded onto its surface to increase the area available for heat exchange.

 

The fundamental purpose of this product is to solve a common engineering challenge: how to transfer more heat within a limited space. By welding 13Cr (SS410) pins onto the TP304 tube, the outer surface area is dramatically increased. This allows for much more efficient thermal exchange between the fluid inside the tube and the hot gases or fluids on the outside.

 

The combination of materials is strategic:

  • The TP304 base tube provides a reliable, corrosion-resistant conduit for the internal fluid, resisting oxidation and chemical attack.
  • The 13Cr (SS410) pins offer the mechanical strength and heat resistance needed to survive constant exposure to high-temperature furnace environments, such as in petrochemical heaters or boiler systems.

2. Fins: 13Cr (SS410) Pins

  • 13Cr / SS410 (UNS S41000 / 1.4006): A martensitic stainless steel with ~13% chromium, low nickel, and magnetic properties.
  • Key advantages for pins:

  • better high-temperature strength
  • good resistance to oxidation/steam corrosion compared to TP304
